About this camp

Step into the role of an engineer this summer with the ASU WithKIP Robotics Camp! Designed for students aged 11-14, this immersive program inspires creativity and innovation through hands-on robotics and coding experiences. Students will engage in a comprehensive design process, including designing and 3D printing custom robot components, wiring electrical systems to power movement, and using coding to program their own KiP robot to complete various challenges. The camp emphasizes interactive learning, team collaboration, and problem-solving as students work towards designing a camp-wide obstacle course and creating custom attachments for their robots. Each day builds towards more complex topics, encouraging critical thinking and iterative design. The program culminates in a final showcase where students test their robots on the obstacle course they designed, gaining practical experience in mechanical design, circuits, and computer programming while solving real-world engineering problems. No previous experience is necessary, making it accessible for all skill levels.
