The camp offers in-depth and engaging tech education in emerging technologies, accredited by WASC and partnered with organizations like the White House, DoD, Microsoft, Google Quantum AI, IBM Quantum, and Stanford.
The Coding School's Emerging Technologies Camp is a two-week virtual program designed for middle and high school students (grades 6-12) to explore cutting-edge tech fields. In the first week, students build foundational Python programming skills, covering concepts like variables, conditionals, loops, and functions. The second week applies these coding skills to hands-on projects in various emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Web Development, and Art+Tech. Students engage in project-based learning, simulating a day-in-the-life of professional software engineers and gaining real-world skills in areas like utilizing large datasets and programming ML algorithms with scikit-learn. The camp aims to provide exposure to fields rarely taught to K-12 students and culminates in an Emerging Technologies certificate.
Each day is filled with hands-on activities and project building, allowing students to gain real-world skills and work together simulating a day-in-the-life of professional software engineers. Students meet daily Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm PST (12-3pm EST).
This camp is ideal for students in grades 6-12 who are interested in gaining foundational coding skills and exploring various cutting-edge technology fields.
