Campers have the unique opportunity to learn directly from the coaching staff of Arizona State University Swimming and Diving.
The Sun Devil Swim Camp offers competitive swimmers an intensive training experience focused on refining stroke technique, building endurance, and elevating overall race performance. Participants receive instruction in all four competitive strokes, as well as starts and turns, at ASU's Mona Plummer Aquatic Complex. Swimmers are grouped by age, ability level, and training goals to ensure personalized coaching and meaningful progress. The camp curriculum includes morning and afternoon long course swim training sessions, classroom discussions, video analysis, and dryland sessions. Campers will also gain insights into the training philosophy and techniques used by the Arizona State University Swimming and Diving program.
This program is designed to challenge athletes while supporting individual development. It is not a learn-to-swim program; participants are expected to have prior competitive swimming experience, be proficient in all four strokes, have experience with competitive starts and turns, and be able to complete a continuous 100-meter swim. The camp aims to provide a high-performance environment for aspiring swimmers.
A typical day includes morning and afternoon long course swim training sessions, classroom discussions, video analysis, dryland sessions, and an on-campus lunch.
The ideal student is a competitive swimmer aged 10-18 with prior experience, proficiency in all four strokes, and the ability to complete a continuous 100-meter swim.
